First Week of August!
Let's get back into healthy routines.

Welcome to the first week of August and this weeks newsletter!
As we transition into the back-to-school season, it’s a time of new beginnings and fresh routines. Even though summer is obviously great, this is one of my favorite times of the year because it represents a return to structure and the perfect opportunity to prioritize our health. Plus I just love fall… 😜
Getting back on a schedule is crucial for maintaining balance in our busy lives. Whether it's setting regular meal times, ensuring consistent sleep patterns, or making time for physical activity, these routines help us stay grounded and focused. Remember, your health is important, and a well-structured schedule is a cornerstone of a healthy lifestyle.

Healthy Living Tip - Recipes
Here's a healthy and easy recipe for the last bit of summer:
Summer Quinoa Salad
Ingredients:
1 cup quinoa
2 cups water
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1 cucumber, diced
1 bell pepper, diced
1/4 red onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled (optional)
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tbsp lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Rinse quinoa under cold water. In a medium pot, bring water to a boil, add quinoa, reduce heat, and simmer for 15 minutes or until water is absorbed. Let cool.
In a large bowl, combine cooked quinoa, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, bell pepper, red onion, parsley, and feta cheese.
In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Pour over quinoa salad and toss to combine.
Serve chilled or at room temperature.

This August, we’re challenging you to get moving and boost your overall health with our simple yet effective fitness challenge: Step It Up! Walking is a great way to stay active, improve cardiovascular health, and boost your mood.
Challenge Overview:
Goal: Walk 10,000 Steps a Day
Track Your Steps:
Use a pedometer, fitness tracker, or smartphone app to keep count of your daily steps.
Incorporate Walking Into Your Day:
Take the stairs instead of the elevator.
Go for a brisk walk during lunch breaks.
Park farther away from entrances.
Walk while you talk on the phone.
Weekend Adventures:
Plan outdoor activities like hiking, visiting parks, or exploring new neighborhoods.
Tips for Success:
Stay Consistent:
Aim for a daily goal of 10,000 steps, but listen to your body and rest if needed.
Stay Hydrated:
Drink plenty of water throughout the day, especially if walking in hot weather.
Wear Comfortable Shoes:
Ensure you have supportive footwear to prevent discomfort or injuries.
